Crazy about Cups

After working on our studies at the School of Light and Color the last couple of weeks I got hooked on painting these little cropped cups. The class is learning how to use value, color and temperature by painting first a monochromatic cropped piece (previous post) and now we are working on complementary colors only. I'll post the progress later.
For now, I can't stop painting these.....!

I love everything about the top painting, it caught my attention immediately.
The colors are amazing ... the gold with the blue just pops. And the composition with the cups and saucer partially out of the painting is beautiful. I can see why you can't stop painting them.
